We are required to place certain essential cookies for the proper functioning of our website.
For the use of non-essential cookies we always ask your permission via our cookie banner. You can withdraw your permission at any time by adjusting your preferences in our cookie configurator at the bottom of this page.
3.1 Permanent cookies
With the help of a permanent cookie, we can recognise you when you visit our website again. The website can then be set specifically to your preferences. We can also remember when you have given permission for cookies to be placed by means of a cookie. This means that you do not have to repeat your preferences every time, which saves you time and makes our website more pleasant to use. You can delete permanent cookies via your browser settings.
3.2 Tracking cookies from ourselves (1st party cookies)
With your permission, we place a cookie on your device, which can be requested as soon as you visit a website from our network. This allows us to know that you have visited the relevant other website(s) from our network in addition to our website, and we can deduce your personal interests. The profile created in this way is linked to your IP address, but not to your name, address, email address and the like. This link only serves to tailor advertisements to your profile, so that they are as relevant to you as possible.
3.3 Tracking cookies from our advertisers (3rd party cookies)
With your permission, our advertisers can place “tracking cookies” on your device. They use these cookies to track which pages you visit from their network, in order to build a profile of your online surfing behavior and personal interests. This profile is partly built up on the basis of comparable information that they receive from your visit to other websites in their network. This profile is not linked to your name, address, e-mail address and the like as known to us, but only to your IP address. This link only serves to tailor advertisements to your profile so that they are as relevant to you as possible.
3.4 Analytical cookies
With your permission, we use analytical cookies. This allows us to measure website visits (e.g. number of visitors, most visited web pages, etc.).If you have given your permission for this, we use Google Analytics in this context. Google cookies are placed as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or if third parties process the information on behalf of Google. We have no influence on this. Google Analytics collects first-party cookies, data relating to the device and browser, the IP address and the activities on the website in order to measure statistics and report on the interactions of users on the website. Google Analytics offers a method to partially shield your IP address. This function is activated, which means that Google Analytics only uses part of the collected IP address instead of the full address. The information that Google collects is transferred to and stored by Google on servers that may be located in the United States. In this context, we refer to Google's privacy and cookie policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy#intro .
3.5 Analytical cookies
“Our website includes buttons to promote (“like”) or share (“tweet”) web pages on social networks such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. These buttons work by means of pieces of code that originate from Facebook and Twitter respectively. Cookies are placed by means of this code if you visit our website and have given permission for these plug-ins to be enabled. If you have given permission for this, we have no influence on this. You can withdraw your permission at any time (see below under “Enabling and disabling cookies and deleting them”). Read the privacy statements of Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter (which may change regularly) to read what they do with your (personal) data that they process via these cookies.”
“The information collected via the social media plug-ins is anonymized as much as possible. The information is transferred to and stored by Twitter, Facebook, Google + and LinkedIn on servers that may be located in the United States. In order for LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Google + to guarantee the necessary protection when processing personal data (also outside the EEA), we have concluded a processing agreement with these parties, in which the European Commission's model contractual clauses have been included regarding transfers of personal data outside the EEA. Based on this agreement, we do what is necessary to encourage these parties to guarantee an appropriate level of protection for the processing of any personal data.
